MCI Exhibitions is delighted to announce that, following a multi-agency tender process, Motocom has been appointed as PR agency for the all-new 2010 Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.
After a dip in visitor numbers and in response to both visitor and exhibitor feedback, a comprehensive review of the Show, together with its marketing and communications strategy was undertaken, resulting in the PR pitch held on 26th May.
Motocom’s appointment coincides with a brand new name for the UK motorcycle industry’s annual showcase, together with a new logo, advertising campaign and graphics package, all of which will be unveiled in the next two to three weeks.
The show also has new dates of 27th November to 5th December 2010 – nine days instead of the 11-day format of recent years – and a new floor layout which is expected to feature all the major motorcycle manufacturers in its traditional home at Birmingham’s NEC.
Now approaching its 10th anniversary, Motocom has firmly established itself as the premier marketing communications partner for the motorcycle industry, both in the UK and overseas.
Founding partner, David Dew, commented on the appointment: “This is simply a huge thrill for Motocom, and one of the most important account wins in our first decade of operations. It’s a also fantastic endorsement to be appointed by representatives of the entire UK bike industry – we are just raring to go.”
Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions Ltd, said: “We’ve known and worked with David and his team at Motocom in a number of different guises over the years. We were delighted to listen to their PR campaign ideas for what will be a thrilling, all-new show. Motocom presented some really exciting plans that dovetail perfectly with our own, and we’re very much looking forward to working with the whole team.”
